The Presets - Behind The Laneway

When The Presets played the Laneway weekend in Brissie and Sydney a few weeks back, our buddy Jason Treuen went along for the ride. Dude got to hang out, drink their rider and write a feature story for Rolling Stone (which can be found in the current issue). He dropped an email our way with a bunch of pearler shots of the boys from the road and was more than happy for us to put them up. Scroll down to check out the goodness.

Thanks Jase and thanks Rolling Stone.

The Presets - Apocalypso OUT NOW + More Tour Dates!

THE PRESETS – RELEASE APOCALYPSO AND CONTINUE TO SELL OUT TOUR

Back in the day, like waaaaay back last year sometime, we let it slip that The Presets were furiously sculling coffee and twiddling knobs in studios around the world, laying down the nuts and bolts of what would become their sophomore record, Apocalypso. A few months on and we have Apocalypso in our greasy little palms. My, how time flies.

In short, and to skip any flowery marketing lingo, Apocalypso is in stores everywhere NOW. If you don’t feel like moving from your chair, get the sucker sent straight to your doorstep from HERE or hit up the digital version from ITUNES.

In other news related to The Presets, tickets for their Apocalypso Tour went on sale Monday of last week, by the end of the day Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne were SOLD OUT. We then released tickets for second run of Brisbane and Melbourne shows which went out the door just as quickly. THEN, on Friday we announced a second Sydney show on Monday 23 June at The Enmore Theatre. It's selling out at a bloody fast rate so jump the queue and go straight to TICKETEK.

We are also able to let it slip that a second show in Perth on June 18 at The Metro has just been announced due to the first being, you guessed it, SOLD OUT. Hit up HEATSEEKER from 9AM tomorrow for stubs.

New Dates Added To Australian Apocalypso Tour!

After being let loose for just one day, tickets for The Presets’ Apocalypso Tour in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney are now completely SOLD OUT. Now before you hotfoot it to any online auction houses and fork out all your hard earned coin on some stupidly priced stubs, let it be known that some brand spanking dates have been set.

You can hear Apocalypso all over radio this week including Album Of The Week on Triple J and many other stations around the country.

The pre-release on iTunes has already reached #1 within a day.

The Presets - Australian 'Apocalypso' Tour!

THE PRESETS – RELEASE APOCALYPSO AND ANNOUNCE NATIONAL TOUR

The Presets are returning to Australia for a tour of devastatingly epic and thrillingly visceral proportions for the one, the only, Apocalypso tour. Taking in the east and the west coast, the trans-Australian jaunt is set to confirm The Presets’ seat on the throne atop dance music mountain.

With the release of the breathtaking Apocalypso on April 12 (pre-order HERE), this tour is set to be the virgin live voyage for a suite of songs from the new record, premiering them in a completely reworked set at bigger, theatre-style venues nation-wide.

Australia’s dance music answer to Gilbert and George will come home to tour Australia after previewing the new record across the UK, Europe and the US taking in Fabric in London, the V Festival around Australia and a 16 stop tour of the US.

With My People an already club classic, and This Boy’s In Love looking likely to follow in its footsteps [in glitter boots], Apocalypso is going to own 2008.
